As you have seen in the previous post (Romantic Meal I - The Dishes) the whole meal had a Mediterreanean theme. That is why I chose to make this White Sangria. I feel in love with Sangria a few years ago, when I visited Barcelona, my favourite city. Since then, Sangria definitely became the drink whenever I wanted something refreshing. I have to confess that I had never tasted the white one before, but I had heard about it in the past so I decided to try it, especially because white wine goes so well with fish and sea-food.
The ingredients that I used are:
- a bottle of white wine
- a bottle of lemonade
- fruit (I used raspberries, green apples, lemon, orange, but you can can use whichever fruit you fancy).
From here onwards everything is very simple. In a jug or a big bowl put the chopped and sliced fruits and crush them slightly so that the juice gets out. Add equal parts of white wine and lemonade and then serve the Sangria in glasses. Add a slice of orange and a straw to make the glass look that little bit prettier.
Oh, and by the way, it is best to chill the wine and lemonade a few hours before you make the sangria, but if you forget to do that, or don't have the time, add some ice cubes and you are good to go.
If you try this recipe please let me know and share a picture too!
Until next time,
